CAMP FACILITIES: High Point Climbing & Fitness Birmingham is Alabama's largest indoor climbing facility. It features 25,000 square feet of indoor climbing with walls of multiple difficulties and heights up to 55 feet tall. The facility also has a kids' zone climbing area, weight room, and yoga studio.
CAMP PROGRAM INFO: High Point's climbing camp includes a mixture of climbing instruction, games, open climbing time, and teambuilding activities to keep your young athlete engaged and moving.

CAMP FACILITIES: CAMP 3T - Teaching through Theatre offers young adults ages 13-17 the opportunity to stay on-site in one of the Alabama State University dormitories. Many of the facilities are new or have been recently renovated. The dormitory housing is safe and offers a range of amenities, including furniture and access to a state of the art cafeteria on the pedestrian friendly university campus.
CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Tonea Stewart Performing Arts Camps annually draw more than 500 people from across the United States to the River Region for various camps offering captivating theatrical development.
Visionary founder and professional actress Dr. Tommie ‘Tonea’ Stewart has expanded its programming from two to five camps since 1994, annually adding new components.
Tonea Stewart Performing Arts Camps are designed to teach participants about the world of theatre, in addition to building self-esteem, character and confidence in their individual uniqueness. One of the camp’s most notable programs is GIFTED, which gives individuals with disabilities the freedom to express their diversity in a celebrated environment.
Program participants receive theatrical instruction through classes, workshops and training sessions with inspired staff and master guest instructors. The experience culminates with an original final production.
The 2014 camps are categorized by age and interest and start June 2nd through July 13th.

TAPS - Theatre Artists Performance School is a performance-based, two-week day camp from 8:00 am to 5:30 p.m. for ages 6-12. The Monday through Friday session will culminate with a final performance on Saturday, June 14th at 1:00 p.m. in the Dunn Oliver Acadome on the Alabama State University Campus.

CAMP 3T - Teaching through Theatre offers young adults ages 13-17 classes in acting, singing, dancing and oral interpretation. Camp participants stay on-site in dorms and present a final performance on June 28th at 1:00 p.m. in the Dunn Oliver Acadome on the Alabama State University Campus.

TTI - Technical Theatre Initiative is designed to give the participants ages 15 to 18 first-hand experience with the basics of costumes, lights, set design, entertainment law, sound, videography, photography, editing and stage management. Additionally, participants receive life skills around dressing for success, speech and diction; interview ethics and interpersonal communication in this Monday through Friday camp from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

CAMP FACILITIES: Our Museum is full of vintage and modern aircraft and your campers will have special access to many of them. We use them throughout the camp to educate campers on aerodynamics and science, history, math and lots more. The highlight of the camp is the training they will get in the Flight Simulator Lab. With both real as well as "virtual" Flight Instructors, your camper will learn techniques used to instruct our Nation's Military and Civilian Flight Students.
The camp will culminate with them planning and executing a military style Search and Rescue or Combat mission. The winging ceremony, based on a traditional Military Pilot Graduation is impressive and parents and campers alike feel a sense of pride and accomplishment as Wings are pinned to their chest.
CAMP PROGRAM INFO: The Southern Museum of Flight Aviation Adventure Camp is a fun and exciting 5 day learning experience for your 7 to 16 yr old girl or boy. The cost is $300.00 per child, $250.00 per child for museum members. Early drop-off and late pickup are available for $10 per day per family, one flat fee. The cost of the camp includes lunch and a snack every day, a camp t-shirt, and materials to enhance their learning experience.
Museum Membership is only $45 a year for your immediate family including grandparents! If you buy a membership in conjunction with or prior to registration, you'll get a full year of unlimited visits PLUS your child gets 5 days of fun at our camp all for $295.00. As a member, you'll save $50 off the $300 price for each additional child you send to our camp.
Camp Cadets will learn basic concepts of flying during 5 days at the museum in our 30 place Flight Simulator Lab. They will experience the discipline and structure similar to that of an actual flight school.

BRIEF CAMP DESCRIPTION: This year we are excited to offer 11 weeks of themed, recreation activities! Our camp will consist of campers 5-12 years of age, split up in multiple groups, to offer age-appropriate programming as possible throughout the day. All campers will experience swimming, climbing the indoor rock wall, group games, team sports, hands-on learning, craft activities, on-campus field trips, and much more!

CAMP LOCATION: We are located in downtown Birmingham, on UAB's campus. The Campus Recreation Center is central to the campus, providing walking access to many on-campus field trip destinations such as athletics facilities, the campus theater, student center and more.
CAMP FACILITIES: The 152,275 square foot facility covers three floors: housing four basketball/volleyball courts, five racquetball courts (one of which can be converted to squash and four for wallyball), four aerobics studios, 18,000 square feet of weight and cardio-fitness areas, game room, aquatics center with both lap and leisure components, Center Court gym used for indoor soccer, floor hockey and badminton, indoor track, and a climbing wall.
CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Our camp staff consists of roughly 30 counselors, who are all UAB students; Campus Recreation Interns and the Coordinator of Competitive Sports and Camps. All summer camp staff are CPR/First Aid/AED certified, trained to facilitate activities, and interact positively with children. Camp activities are designed to include high levels of interaction between counselors and campers. We believe that this interaction will foster a fun and enjoyable environment for everyone involved.
CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS OR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: We offer 1-2 scholarships each year for a child to attend one week of our program. Please visit our website for more information on the scholarship application process.

We add new and innovative travel and activities each year.
Our travel is designed to enhance social, friendship, culture, and other vital life skills that promote independence. Camp Wego helps travelers make new friends while traveling in a safe, fun and educational environment.
We offer high-quality supervised tours for teens and adults with special needs year around. Our travel programs are specialized for individuals with Developmental Disabilities, Autism, Learning Disabilities, ADHD and Asperger's syndrome.
