We offer high-quality supervised tours for teens and adults with special needs year around. Our travel programs are specialized for individuals with Developmental Disabilities, Autism, Learning Disabilities, ADHD and Asperger's syndrome.

CAMP LOCATION: We are located 4 hours southwest of Washington, DC on 140 acres in the Allegheny Mountains, 9 miles east of Marlinton, WV. Just a quick drive from the The Greenbrier and Homestead Resorts as well.

CAMP FACILITIES: We have 24 modern cabins, shower houses, outdoor pool, dining hall, outdoor basketball and tennis courts, woodshop/arts and crafts facility, rope challenge course with climbing wall and zipline and many more elements. We also have a beautiful lake for kayaking, canoeing, swimming and the always fun and exciting water trampoline, all situated next to our baseball and soccer fields. Our barn and paddock house 10 horses for our equestrian program. We also have a gymnasium with indoor basketball courts and dance studio directly across from our roller hockey rink. Camp Twin Creeks has so much to offer in a beautiful setting!

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: We are an ACA accredited summer camp and for over 60 years, camping excellence has abounded at the site of Camp Twin Creeks. The sounds of laughter, cheering and summertime excitement never fail to echo through the Allegheny Mountains. We create a total camp experience every two-weeks and believe in children and their potential, their resilience and their abilities to absorb what camp has to teach about confidence and self-esteem. Our director has a hands-on, arms around your shoulders approach and therefore sets the bar very high for our staff, who are simply incredible!

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: During their 2 weeks at camp CIT’s spend three activity periods assisting in teaching an activity or working with a cabin of campers on Main Village with a cabin counselor. Afternoon activities are spent as a camper attending activities with cabin mates.

During the course of the two weeks CIT’s also help coordinate and run a special event with the other CITs and one of our program coordinators/directors. There are various other responsibilities with the CIT program such as assisting with the dining hall on half-staff days and performing community service in the local Marlinton area.

CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS OR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: Financial aid is available based on need.

FAMILY CAMP SESSION(S): We have a family weekend at camp for enrolled families in mid-June.

OTHER CAMP INFO: We encourage you to make an appointment to meet our Director, Iain McClements, each weekend during January, February, March and April. We are more than happy to meet you in the comfort of your own home to answer your questions and tell you a lot more about Camp!

CAMP LOCATION: Located in historical Harpers Ferry, WV on the Shenandoah and Potomac Rivers. Rafting, tubing, kayaking, biking, canoeing, fishing and team building are all closer than you think. Please visit our website for lots of camp photos and videos!

CAMP FACILITIES: We have a zip line Canopy Tour with eight zip lines between 200-800 feet long! We also offer a high ropes aerial obstacle course with over 100 elements varying in difficulty, white water rafting, stand up paddle-boarding, canoeing, kayaking, as well as white water and flat water tubing.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Your camper will be able to choose from a selection of activities that best suits their interest and skill levels, as well as participate in organized group activities. Our professional, trained counselors will share with your child the most fun-filled, sunsational experiences, providing memories guaranteed to last a life time! Goals for your camper include increasing self confidence, physical fitness awareness, and developing knowledge of recreational sports and safety.

All Adventure Fun Weeks are available for campers 9-14/Grades 4-9.

Your campers week is designed to be fun and educational! Children will have the opportunity to participate in new and unique adventures by engaging in all of the activities that we offer at River Riders.

Your camper will challenge themselves at new heights on our eight zip line Canopy Tour, with the longest zip line reaching almost 800 feet! They will also learn the basics of white water and flat water safety through kayaking, stand up paddleboards, rafting and more! Goals for your child include: increased confidence, building character, sense of accomplishment, fun, and friendship. All of our counselors are highly trained professionals waiting to share their love of adventure and the outdoors with your camper!

Nothing build character, confidence and friendship like River Riders Outdoor Adventure Camps action-packed, fun and unique summer camp program. If your camper is tired of the same ol’ same ol’, rejuvenate them with an unforgettable outdoor experience in Harpers Ferry, West Virginia! Outdoor Adventure Camp works throughout the year to ensure a wonderful experience for all of our campers. Each year we look to expand the number of campers who will benefit from the program we provide. Outdoor Adventure Camp is a fun, action-packed way to build character, confidence and friendship in historic Harpers Ferry, West Virginia. Camp instills children with the self-reliance, confidence, discipline, creativity and collaboration, these skills are a necessary factor in our children becoming successful, well-adjusted adults. Every year we see children grow in ways both large and small as a result of their Outdoor Adventure Camp experience. Because we are firmly committed to the work we do and the children we serve, we believe that every child deserves a chance to experience camp. There are a multitude of activities offered at River Riders Outdoor Adventure Camp; therefore as a counselor you will be responsible for overseeing and taking the kids through each activity in which you are trained (zip line guide, river guide, adventure park monitor). You have the opportunity to train in each of these areas- which is recommended- or simply choose one or two of the areas you are interested in.

Ultimately, the mission of our kid's camp is to provide an exceptional experience for campers that encourages them to challenge themselves both physically and mentally and to build confidence throughout the activities that are facilitated by the counselors.
