CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Hale Centre Theatre offers six one-week sessions of summer camps in June, July and August. Taught by local theatre professionals, morning classes include Acting, Singing, and Theatre Dance. In the afternoons, students will participate in a "mini-musical" which is performed at the end of the session.
Other weeks offer Improvisation, Stage Combat, and Theatre Movement, and Techniques of Shakespeare or

BRIEF CAMP DESCRIPTION: This is a 2 week comedy intensive where youth 14-18 years old learn how to write and perform comedy! In the first week, we teach how to come up with comedy-rich topics and develop them into scripted sketches. In week two, we prepare and rehearse selected sketches from the material from week one to be performed at our end of workshop show: The Sketch Comedy Spectaculum!

CAMP FACILITIES: We provide college dorms, classrooms, a cafeteria and a variety of fast-food restaurants, a fun campus atmosphere, and so much more.
CAMP PROGRAM INFO: The Sketch Comedy Workshop will be taught by BYU Divine Comedy alumni and current cast members. Several of the instructors have had the opportunity to write for Studio C, with some past years instructors becoming cast members of the show. As part of the camp's evening lecture series, 2-3 current cast members of Studio C will come and share their experiences as sketch comedy writers and performers.
CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS OR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: BYU Continuing Education offers a limited number of partial-tuition assistance awards for students who would not otherwise be able to attend the program. These do not cover airfare or spending money. Because requests always exceed available funds, the financial aid process is competitive. Decisions are based on merit and financial need.
Applications are available by calling 801-422-5080 or emailing us at cw169[AT]byu.edu and are due in our office no later than May 28, 2022. Applications are not available online. Applying for financial aid does not guarantee a spot in a program.
OTHER CAMP INFO: BYU offers in campus housing, or the option of commuting each day. If you stay in campus housing, you will have a counselor (one counselor for every 10–15 participants). Counselors supervise activities and coordinate devotionals (scripture, song, and prayer) each evening. Commuters will also be assigned a counselor and are welcome to participate in all activities, including evening devotionals. Campus participants are not allowed to leave the residence halls after the nightly headcount. Commuters must check out with their counselor and be picked up each evening by an adult after the rehearsals/activities.

SPECIAL NEEDS CAMPERS: Camp Wego is a Travel camp serving teens and adult with special needs ages 14-65. We are a small travel special needs camp that travel in the United States and abroad. We are able to provide low staffing ratios, 1 to 4. (1:1 if needed) We have highly credentialed and experienced staff so each individuals needs are met. We add new and innovative travel and activities each year.
Our travel is designed to enhance social, friendship, culture, and other vital life skills that promote independence. Camp Wego helps travelers make new friends while traveling in a safe, fun and educational environment.
We offer high-quality supervised tours for teens and adults with special needs year around. Our travel programs are specialized for individuals with Developmental Disabilities, Autism, Learning Disabilities, ADHD and Asperger's syndrome.
Individuals must be ambulatory and be able to take care of personal hygiene needs.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Into the woods we go! What is better than a twist on your favorite childhood story tales? Possibly the fact that YOU could be a part of it! BYU’s Broadway Bootcamp proudly presents Into the Woods this upcoming summer, where wishes and witches change it all.
Broadway Bootcamp consists of a two-week theatre workshop where participants have the opportunity to learn from theatre professionals and each other. Everyone will get the chance to perform as we love to give everyone an opportunity to shine. Each named role will be played by several people who switch out at scene changes. This unique approach makes our camp a great opportunity for aspiring performers of all ages and experience levels.
BYU Theatre and Media Arts (TMA) faculty, BYU TMA students, and Music Dance Theatre students and graduates teach the summer camp. Some of the specialty workshops are taught by theater professionals from the community and BYU TMA faculty.
Broadway Bootcamp will provide an immersive theatre experience:
- Beginning, intermediate, and seasoned high school drama students are welcome.
- Participate in masterclasses, specialty workshops, and rehearsals.
- Be mentored through classroom and performance instruction.
- Enjoy the great atmosphere only Brigham Young University can offer.
- Make new friends with similar dreams, goals, and standards.
In these intense two weeks with talented instructors and theatre professionals, you will develop your talents and learn new skills. Daily classes will help you gain confidence in your specific track, along with combined master classes.
CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS OR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: BYU Continuing Education offers a limited number of partial-tuition assistance awards for students who would not otherwise be able to attend the program. These do not cover airfare or spending money. Because requests always exceed available funds, the financial aid process is competitive. Decisions are based on merit and financial need. Applications are available by calling 801-422-6700 or emailing us at cw169[AT]byu.edu and are due in our office no later than May 28, 2021. Applications are not available online. Applying for financial aid does not guarantee a spot in a program.
OTHER CAMP INFO: BYU offers in campus housing, or the option of commuting each day. If you stay in campus housing, you will have a counselor (one counselor for every 10–15 participants). Counselors supervise activities and coordinate devotionals (scripture, song, and prayer) each evening. Commuters will also be assigned a counselor and are welcome to participate in all activities, including evening devotionals. Campus participants are not allowed to leave the residence halls after the nightly headcount. Commuters must check out with their counselor and be picked up each evening by an adult after the rehearsals/activities.

SPECIAL NEEDS CAMPERS: All of our programs are for Special Needs Campers.
Our longest running program is a residential summer camp where kids, teens, and adults with disabilities are able to engage in a variety of activities. During a week-long stay, campers go fishing, ride horses, camp out, sing songs, work on arts and crafts projects, challenge themselves on the ropes course, make new friends, and renew old friendships.
Other campers may opt to enjoy a week on the road as a participant in the Travel Trip Adventures program. Groups of campers and staff participate in week-long camp trips to places such as Moab or Jackson Hole. River running, hiking, viewing wildlife, and visiting attractions are all a part of these trips.
We also offer a Day Camp that offers the same activities as the Residential, with the only difference being that parents/care-givers drop off their camper in the morning and pick them up at the end of the day.

CAMP FACILITIES: Our facilities now include: Five heated, bunk-style cabins, heated swimming pool and bath house, trout-stocked pond, picnic pavilions, lighted sports court, 30- and 60-foot ropes courses, and the Sorenson Legacy Equestrian Park and Ezekiel Dumke indoor arena.
CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Dan Kostopulos and his wife Helen had big hearts and they loved helping people and giving to those less fortunate. They found their niche through helping individuals with disabilities. As early as 1954, they formed a charitable organization to address this special populations needs. By 1967, they established Camp Kostopulos -- which would go on to provide smiles to thousands of children and adults with disabilities.
Our Mission: The Kostopulos Dream Foundation/Camp Kostopulos is dedicated to improving the quality of life for people with disabilities through recreation, education and growth experiences.
Our Goal: To make our services available to all people, regardless of ability, income, or place of residence.
All of our programs are designed and supervised by licensed Recreational Therapists.

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: We run several programs and activities year-round.
Briefly, we offer:
1) K-Kids Adventures: Offers recreation and experiential learning for children ages 7-17 with special needs. The goal for the K-Kids Program is to provide activities to develop functional life skills, increase leisure awareness, and reduce barriers to recreation participation.
2) Teen Quest: An exciting program for teens ages 13-17 with special needs. This program provides teenagers with an opportunity, at least once a week, to socialize with their peers, while addressing their individual needs.
3) Adult Social Club: Allows adults with special needs, ages 18 and up, to expand their social circles, while learning how to use community resources.
4) Special Programs: Included in the monthly calendars are the activity descriptions and registration forms for a variety of special programs and events. These programs and events include the following: Fitness Program, Snow Adventures, Art Expressions, Horseback Riding, Dance Program, Bowling League, Drama Club and many more.

Located 2.5 miles up Emigration Canyon and ten minutes from downtown Salt Lake City, Camp Kostopulos is an excellent retreat environment for business, civic, church, community, and other groups.
Its facilities, lodged amongst the oak and cottonwood trees and Emigration Creek, are ideal for groups wanting to reinforce team enrichment in either the workplace or community. Lodging, horseback riding, swimming, and other challenging and team-oriented activities are offered to enhance personal growth, as well as build team and family relationships. Available for day and/or overnight excursions, Camp Kostopulos is an ideal place to conduct family- and work-related activities providing both a recreational and leisure environment all year long.

Equestrian Center Lessons/Rentals/Lease:
The indoor equestrian center is an amazing facility. It houses both the riding arena and the horse stables under one roof. The entire building measures 200 ft. long and 100 ft. wide. The stables measure 40’ X 100’. The stable area contains nine horse stalls, wash/groom bay, hay/feed storage, tack room, and a mechanical room. Each horse has its own outdoor turn out paddock from their stall. The arena riding area is 80’ X 140’. The arena space contains an office which overlooks the arena floor. The office has its own private restroom. There are public restrooms and bleachers next to the arena.
The equestrian center sits on the mountain top over looking Emigration Canyon. The views are beautiful throughout the four seasons. The facility is nestled among the scrub oaks and sage brush. Horse programs will run year round in this heated facility. Programs are offered for Camp Kostopulos’ participants and for other agencies and organizations that wish to utilize the many types of horse related program options. Specialized equine programs will include working with those individuals with: physical impairments, mental impairments, emotional and behavioral differences, social difficulties, and those who are developmentally delayed.

BRIEF CAMP DESCRIPTION: SummerFestival is a six-day summer camp for young instrumentalists and vocalists ages 14–18 who want to improve their musical skills and talents. All applicants will be admitted as long as there are spaces available for their instrument. SummerFestival offers instruction in more than 20 instruments, including voice. Musical styles include classical, big band, jazz, blues, and so on. Instruction is by School of Music faculty and guest instructors. Instruction is offered at the intermediate and advanced levels.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Welcome to BYU Musicians’ SummerFestival. At this camp, you will have the opportunity to make music in groups and solo settings. Our world-class faculty will push, prod, lift, energize, and inspire you to new musical heights! During BYU Summerfestival you will be filled with music and fun-rehearsals, master classes, lessons, electives, and more! Every year we try our best to fill each night and day with a combination of musical exhilaration and social joviality with things such as, a Faculty Recital, a Student Honors Recital, team challenges and more!
The camp director is Dr. Mark Ammons, Assistant Director of the School of Music and Director of BYU Musicians’ Institute and SummerFestival, who received his Bachelor of Music degree at Brigham Young University in trombone performance, with a minor in French. He completed his Master of Music and Doctor of Musical Arts degrees in trombone performance at the University of Southern California.
