CAMPER AGES: youth 5-18, young adults 18-22
TYPE OF CAMP: Overnight/Sleepaway. Day Camp.
CAMPER GENDER(S): Coed Campers.
BRIEF CAMP DESCRIPTION: Camp Accomplish is an incredible summer camp open to youth aged 5-18. We proudly serve campers with and without disabilities and chronic health conditions while promoting fun, safety, challenge, and friendship for everyone. From climbing walls to nature trails to therapeutic riding activities, every child is welcome to explore, learn, and grow.
SPECIAL NEEDS CAMPERS: Day Camp: campers aged 5 to 18 enjoy a wide variety of activities, healthy meals, and return home each evening to share the day’s adventures with family and rest up for the next fun-filled day. Counselor-to-Camper ratios vary from 1:1 to 1:8 based on each camper’s needs.
Overnight Camp: for campers aged 8 to 18. Overnight camp runs each week from Sunday afternoon to Friday evening. Counselor-to-Camper ratios vary from 1:1 to 1:8 based on each camper’s needs.
Access Adventures: designed for those aged 18-22 transitioning into adulthood in need of assistance in becoming independent and self-sufficient, providing planned retreats for adults with disabilities and chronic health conditions.

CAMP INSTRUCTIONAL ACTIVITIES OFFERED:
Horses/Equestrian, Swimming, Adventure, and more.
CAMP LOCATION: Camp Accomplish is hosted at the Melwood Recreation Center, a beautiful 108-acre facility located in rural Charles County, Maryland. Camp Accomplish is located approximately one hour south of Washington, DC, and is a short, 12-mile drive west of La Plata, Maryland.
CAMP FACILITIES: Camp Accomplish boasts a diverse offering of lodge-style cabins, challenge courses, almost 10 miles of hiking trails, aquatic and equestrian facilities, and a variety of meeting spaces all set in a serene natural environment, ensuring the site has something for everyone.
CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Campers age 16+ who would like to serve as role models to their fellow campers during the condition specific specialty camps are welcome to apply for the Counselor-In-Training (CIT) program during their registration.
CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS OR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: Camp Accomplish is pleased to offer need-based scholarships. Anyone seeking a scholarship must indicate their interest on the initial camper application. See our website for more information.
