CAMPER AGES: 7 to 75+
TYPE OF CAMP: Overnight/Sleepaway. Day Camp. Spring and Fall camp weekends.
CAMPER GENDER(S): Coed Campers.
BRIEF CAMP DESCRIPTION: Camp Millhouse is a residential summer camp for children and adults of all ages with varying disabilities. We offer six one-week sessions in the summer and spring/fall camp weekends. Our camper to staff ratios are never more than 4 to 1 but we also take campers who require one to one care. “Camp means two weeks of no worry about Monika’s welfare and that is a lot of ‘freedom’ for us.” – Ursula, camper mom.
SPECIAL NEEDS CAMPERS: Camp Millhouse is exclusively for children and adults with disabilities. Our campers disabilities range from campers who just require some gentle reminders to campers who require complete and total care.
CAMP INSTRUCTIONAL ACTIVITIES OFFERED:
Dance, Music/Band, Fine Arts/Crafts, Basketball, Football, Baseball, Cheerleading, Soccer, Swimming, Volleyball, and more. Low Ropes Challenge Course, Wheelchair Art Equipment That Is Used By Campers Of All Abilities, Weekly Dances
CAMP LOCATION: Camp Millhouse is located on the southwest side of South Bend, IN on almost 45 beautiful wooded acres. Please visit our website for lots of camp photos and videos.
CAMP FACILITIES: Our campers sleep in fully-accessible cabins with all indoor plumbing. We have a large recreational hall, nature center, program spaces, in-ground, heated fully-accessible pool, lodge where all meals are served, camp store, accessible playground and storm shelters.
CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS OR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: Camp Millhouse has limited funds available to offer partial assistance with camp fees. We highly recommend families reach out to their local community organizations like churches, Lion's and Kiwanis Clubs, etc.
YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: Outside of our summer sessions, we also offer spring and fall camp weekends that run from Saturday mornings until Sunday afternoons. Contact the office, or visit our website, for more information.

SUMMER CAMP JOBS:
Camp Millhouse hires 45-50 summer staff to run our seven week summer program. Our counselors, counselors-in-training, program staff and nurses are residential positions.
